Abstract

The computer, with its power to perform lengthy calculations quickly and its ability to handle large amounts of information efficiently, is an obvious aid in the solution of business problems. With these abilities, the computer can free the manager from the tedious tasks of searching and calculating. Thus the computer-manager partnership is an excellent one in the business field. The rapid development of time-sharing within the last few years, however, has greatly enhanced this partnership. The manager and computer can interact in a way never before possible. This research intends to investigate some of the problems involved and the most efficient way in which this interaction can take place.
