Abstract

The work presented in this thesis is concerned with a method of converting DC Voltage to another higher DC Voltage. The circuit used VMOS switches in a "flying capacitor" technique to generate regulated 6V from single cell of about 1.5 V . The computer simulation gave efficiencies of 80.3% and 62% at 2 and 27 mA respectively with peak to peak ripple about 5% when the output capacitor equal to 10 or 20 µF and these results were confirmed by the experimental measurements.
