Abstract

This thesis presents a method whereby one may solve an integrable quantum field theory using only its S-matrix as input. From here one may then use the thermodynamic Bethe ansatz to calculate the ground state energy of the model and analytically continue the TBA to obtain the excited states.

This technique was applied to the sinh-Gordon model and along the way an interesting limit on the technique was discovered and investigated.
